AN HONEST DAYS WORK
Connor and Brandon in the studio for Fall / Winter 2025.
Earlier this season, we caught up with Connor Phillips and Brandon Gregora to photograph our Fall / Winter collection in Connor’s self-built 12 x 16 studio. The space is hand built, warm, and quiet, with just enough room for a guitar, a desk, and a window that looks out over the field.
The space, tucked into the woods outside Victoria, was constructed using reclaimed timber, slate flooring salvaged from Port Renfrew logging roads, and a built-in cigar press in the arm chair.
The pair have spent their time writing and recording a new body of work titled An Honest Day’s Work — created entirely within these four walls.
“We started recording down there before the cabin even deserved to be called a cabin. Basically just moved all the equipment in once we had a roof over our heads and started throwing paint at the walls. In hindsight it wasn’t the brightest move considering how many times we hauled the gear in & out while still building the rest, but we had already made the decision that this is where we’re doing the album. Even when it got super fucking cold, we just layered up, probably sang an octave higher than usual and raced to get the wood stove in.”
Connor and Brandon wear garments from Fall / Winter 2025, available now online.
