While we take great pride in producing much of our collection here in Canada, some garments call for a different kind of expertise. These sweaters were made in Peru — not as a compromise, but as a conscious decision rooted in quality and tradition.
Peru has a long-standing heritage in cotton and knitwear production. The craftspeople we work with specialize in heavyweight knitting, using time-honoured techniques that have been passed down through generations. The result is a sweater with unmatched structure, softness, and durability — one that would be impossible to replicate domestically without sacrificing quality or accessibility.
Producing these in Peru allows us to honour both craftsmanship and sustainability: we work directly with a small, ethical factory, ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and the best quality raw materials possible.

Construction details include two large utility pockets, military inspired two-prong metal buttons, two-piece sleeves, center back seam, and a convertible collar that can be styled up or folded down. Regular wear will enhance the character of the fabric.

The Highland Coat is a beautifully crafted, relaxed outer layer with a unique drape. The outer is cut from a 100% Bulgarian Wool which uses two different shades of undyed yarn made from naturally coloured wool, which together produce a subtle melange effect. The wool is sourced from sheep living in the mountains of Bulgaria, and then woven and finished in Osaka, Japan. Known for its exceptional softness, resilience, and warmth, this wool is triple-plied to create a fabric with rich texture and depth. The sheep are raised in an environment with strong sunlight during the day and damp, misty nights; conditions that contribute to the wool’s high crimp quality.
Fully lined with 100% Cupro, the coat has a voluminous and lightweight feeling, while offering excellent warmth retention. By using undyed yarn made from naturally coloured wool, this material does not use large amounts of water or fuel for dyeing, and if left in nature, it returns to the soil. Construction features include raglan sleeves, full cupro lining, welt pockets, and a concealed zipper.
