A MAY TO REMEMBER

“The ruggedness of the conditions here make the experience unlike any other. The sport takes us to breathtaking beaches and stretches of coastline that would be otherwise uninhabited.”

The swell that lit up our coastline this month made us question everything we know about reading the swell charts. Although pleasantly surprised, we never could have predicted a better outcome this late in the season.

The thing about driving two hours for the chance of waves is that you never know exactly what you’re in for. The wind could change in an instant making the glassy wave you envisioned a choppy mess, or worse. As much as we think we have the tide charts, swell forecast and wind radars down, we’re sometimes humbled knowing that all the data in the world struggles to predict something so fickle.

The ruggedness of the conditions here make the experience unlike any other. The sport takes us to breathtaking beaches and stretches of coastline that would be otherwise uninhabited.

We are so lucky to call this place home.
